Covid-19 Coronavirus

measures we are taking

As the outbreak of the coronavirus (Covid-19) continues to develop across the world, our thoughts are with those and their families who are affected.  Vulcan is keeping a close account of what the Prime Minister is directing.  Our technical and sales office are working remotely online to be effective in the circumstances on current and forthcoming projects.  We remain vigilant and follow the NHS and WHO (World Health Organisation) advice on how to help prevent the spread of the virus.

Stock & Supply Chain

We routinely hold significant stocks of most product lines within the UK.  Additional steps were taken in preparation of the UK’s departure from the EU.  This has resulted in even greater current stock supplies than usual.  Until otherwise directed by the Government our factories remain in operation under strict protection policy. Our warehousing despatch is operating on reduced hours – collections are by appointment as normal.  Customers will need to confirm that deliveries can be accepted – please be aware that there may be delays.

Protecting Our Customers

Following the announcement of the Prime Minister on 23rd March we are taking the following precautions:

  • Communication with customers through WhatsApp and Zoom
  • Customer visits have stopped until further notice
  • Customers may contact our office by phone – you get to speak to a person
  • Our offices are not open to customers until further notice

Protecting our Staff

To reduce the risk of a member of our team contracting the virus we have implemented the following policies:

  • No flights, or travelling on public transport
  • Provision of hand sanitisers for our staff
  • Visitors to our premises are stopped until further notice
  • No visits to customers
  • Staff to consult the NHS guidelines on
